The Best Time To Book A Cruise

It’s that time again.  WAVE Season, the best time to book a cruise.  It happens yearly from January to March 31. 

What is Wave Season?

During Wave Season, all the cruise lines put out their best promotions of the year.  In addition to that, there are also some really juicy offers to travelers who book through a travel advisor who has connections.

Deals Available During the Best Time of Year to Book a Cruise

There are so many deals available during the best time to book a cruise with all the cruise lines.  Too many for me to share with you here.  What do we want?  We want discounts!  We want added value!  That means amenities, such as pre-paid gratuities or a beverage package for no added cost.  We want On Board Credits – money on our accounts that we can use for whatever we want on the cruise.    

Expiration Dates Apply Even During the Best Time to Book a Cruise

All of these promotions have expiration dates, and they aren’t all the same.  Each cruise line chooses what they want to offer.  How can just anyone know what cruise line and what option fits them?  Especially if you are the first-time cruiser? You could do it yourself, and you would get what the cruise line is offering to anyone.  And no more than that. 

You could book online, but then there is no one to speak to and have your questions answered. Calling the cruise line has its issues too.  If you value speaking to one person and have high touch, detailed attention, you won’t find this working with the cruise line. When you call again, you’ll speak to someone else.  And probably spend time on hold because, after all, it is the WAVE season.
