You’ve decided to work with a travel advisor to design your next vacation. Congratulations! Maybe you’ve never worked with one before or perhaps you have but it’s been a long time.  This article has best practices so that you will know how to work with a professional travel agent. Of course, I’ll be using how I work as the example.

Recently, I checked the expiration date on my Global Entry card and noticed it expires on my birthday in January. This is a part of the Trusted Traveler Program that makes it easier for you to enter the United States after traveling overseas. Here are a few key points I learned about Global Entry renewal and want to share with you:

Traveling internationally requires proper documentation, notably a U.S. Passport Book for all forms of travel. While a Passport Card is limited to land crossings, securing a passport early enhances travel flexibility and purchasing opportunities. Always ensure consistency between your passport and travel documents, and keep copies for safety while abroad.

Amsterdam offers various transportation options including walking, cycling, and public transit. Walking reveals hidden gems, while biking is popular among locals. Public transportation is efficient, supported by the I Amsterdam city card for cost savings. Avoid taxis due to high costs and traffic, and consider using UBER for convenience.

The Dutch Resistance Museum, located in Amsterdam, is acclaimed as the best historical museum in the Netherlands, highlighting the experiences of the Dutch during World War II. It features exhibitions depicting life under occupation, various choices people made, and resilience, including a special section for children. Visiting is a meaningful experience.
